HIPS For England and Wales
Home Information Packs are now law for all residential properties new to market in England and Wales. HIPS are currently not law for Scotland or Northern Ireland
The person responsible for marketing the property e.g. the Estate Agent or Seller can be fined £200 for every occasion they are caught marketing a property without a HIP. This could be a fine of £200 for every day.
Home Information packs are available from Estate Agents, Hip Providers or can be compiled by the seller
