HIP Sales Statement
The Home Information Pack sales statement details specific information about the property including:
- Property address
- Is it a flat or house?
- If a flat is it purpose built or converted?
- Is the property freehold, leasehold or commonhold?
- If the property is leasehold, when did the lease start and how long is remaining on the lease.
- Is the title being sold as a registered estate, part of an estate or is it unregistered.
- What is the capacity of the seller e.g. the owners, representative of owner who has died ?
- Is the property being sold with vacant possession or not?
The sales statement can be completed on behalf of the seller but the seller must check this document and agree it is correct.
