Chartley Court is a small 14 retirement complex situated off Balance Street in Uttoxeter town centre. It is hidden away in a small cul-de-sac with no passing traffic and is very private/quiet. There is a private pathway passed the butchers shop to the Market Square which is no more than 50 yards.
The complex built about 10 years ago is a pretty development, with an open-plan feel & with private parking available. The flat is on the first floor accessed from a shared stair-way servicing 4 flats. The flat is modern with a good sized lounge/diner, separate kitchen with oven, hob, extractor and washer/dryer with a place for a fridge/freezer. The bathroom has a bath, toilet & basin with a shower attachment. The bedroom is a good sized double.
The flat has gas central heating using a modern combination boiler and is UPVC double glazed.
Chartley Court is freehold & is owned & managed by our own small management committee & not answerable to any large organisations! The grounds are managed by our own gardener, we have a regular window cleaner, but if you would like to keep active and help with the gardens & maintenance you are most welcome. We encourage people to get involved.
The rent includes all service charges, but you are responsible for the water, gas, electric, council tax (band A) and telephone charges.
Rent directly from the landlord and not through a letting agent - there are only minimal setup charges, no tenancy renewal charges, no check in / check out fees, etc. Please bare this in mind when comparing us to properties let through agents, those extra fees really add up.
There is a small community feel to Chartley Court & we hope that whoever moves in gets involved with the other residents.
We promise that repairs and servicing will be dealt with promptly & efficiently.
You must be over 50 years old or registered disabled & we are after long-term people only please. It is not a managed retirement complex so residents must be able to look after themselves, but you will be near like-minded people who look out for each other & with the age restriction we can guarantee that you will be living with like minded people.
If you would like to live in a lovely quiet development, but be close to the shops, doctors surgeries, etc please contact us to arrange a viewing.
We will have a similar ground floor flat shortly too.
We are sorry, but our small management company has decided against allowing dogs in the apartments as the noise could affect others.
