To fully appreciate the history of Church House (Grade II listed) you have to understand that when this property was 'New to the market' King George III was on the throne and struggling to keep hold of the United States, Napoleon was causing all sorts of bother in Europe. William Pitt the younger was entering parliament, destined to become Prime Minister, the first steam locomotives were seen charging round the roads of England at an unheard of 5 MPH and both Beethoven and Bach were the Beetles of the age.
