Sussex will not suffer price crash
Posted: 28 Jan 2008 14:06:22 GMT
Homeowners in Sussex can be confident that their properties will not lose any value in 2008.
Homeowners in Sussex can be confident that their properties will not lose any value in 2008.
According to Brighton-based estate agency Weatherstone Properties, the region is not likely to suffer a price crash.
The popularity of the region is cited as the main factor behind the county's apparent immunity.
In addition, Chris Weatherstone from the firm, told the Argus that a lack of housing supply will also support prices.
"Here in the south, the banks are confident, the property developers are confident and the estate agents are confident," he revealed.
"It is going to be a slightly tougher market this year but the talk of a crash in Sussex is rubbish.
"We have a buzzing city which people want to move to all the time and the businesses are doing well. Down here there's a shortage of property and they're not making more land," concluded Mr Weatherstone.
A large number of property experts have ruled out a price crash in 2008.
