Property News - Buyers need to consider price fluctuations

Homebuyers need to consider every possibility when it comes to purchasing a property.

Homebuyers need to consider every possibility when it comes to purchasing a property.

It is particularly important for first-time buyers to make sure that they are prepared for fluctuations in house prices.

Alexander Hall has advised new buyers to consider all the options and be prepared for prices to rise, fall or stagnate.

Every buyer hopes that the value of their property will rise but there is always the chance that this will not be the case.

However, a little planning can go a long way so that homebuyers do not find themselves trapped in a difficult situation in the future.

"The one really, really important thing that first-time buyers need to understand is that they should look at the options," said Andy Pratt, Alexander Hall spokesman.

"Look at what would happen if house prices went up, stayed the same, went down by five per cent or further. They need to look at that in relation to their own circumstances and see how long they will stay in their property for," he continued.
