A debate among experts on the UK housing market has revealed that the majority believe now is a good time to invest.

Four speakers took part in the debate for the Property Investor and Homebuyer Show and all agreed that there are good deals to be had.

Glenn Armstrong from G&A Property said that now is "definitely" a good time to buy.

Jonty Crossick, chief executive officer of Ready2Invest, had a similar message but said that investors must be careful.

"If you know what you're doing then there's nothing wrong being in a market that adds up and makes sense," he commented.

"I don't see why people can't buy one or two properties in the UK if they buy aggressively. Buy below market value, push the seller hard for a good deal and make sure that the rental income really stacks up for any unforeseen eventualities.

"If that's ok then you'll be fine, if you don't stick to the fundamentals then you'll get burnt," added Mr Crossick.
