How to shift 'The unsellables'

As the credit-crunch hits the housing market and sellers find it increasingly hard to shift properties, a new program has come to the UK which promises to offer tips on making a home saleable.
"The Unsellables" is to be shown on Real Estate TV and the channel say it is "essential viewing" for those that want to "get smart" in the property market.
Sofie Allsopp, sister of property TV star Kirsty Allsopp, aims to help homeowners "revamp and restore" properties to their former glory.
James Daley of the Independent notes that retirees are now particularly keen to sell their properties and "cash in on the equity" by "buying a smaller property or a similar sized one in a cheaper part of the country".
As Mr Daly explains: "For many couples reaching retirement, the family home is still worth tens or even hundreds of thousands of pounds more than they ever thought it would be and with inflation on the rise and annuity rates falling, increasing numbers of families are keen to cash in on their gains."
The program aims to persuade people to "give up the mementos and vivid colourings in order to appeal to the right buyers".
