Sellers told that there has been an increase in buyer enquiries
Posted: 15 Jul 2008 13:07:42 GMT
Those wanting to sell their property will be pleased to hear that despite the economic downturn there are a number of would-be-buyers that area showing interest in the housing market.
That is according to the latest Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (Rics) UK survey.
Although there has been a fall in the number of consumers able to get on the housing ladder due to tighter lending criteria, there has also been a significant improvement in buyer enquiries.
Sellers should be buoyed by the fact that 35 per cent more Chartered Surveyors reported a fall in buyer enquiries compared to 50 per cent in May and 69 per cent in April.
Jeremy Leaf, Rics spokesperson, said: "There are always opportunities for investors and buyers to profit and some are starting to circle for bargains."
The survey shows that there are also a number of buy-to-let investors who are looking to enter the market.
