Landlords can attract 'best tenants' with good interior design
Posted: 11 Sep 2008 11:27:03 GMT
Landlords wishing to attract the "best tenants" should pay close attention to the interior design of their property.
Architect Your Home has advised landlords that because of increasing competition within the rental market they need to ensure their flats or houses have the desired look that prospective tenants are looking for.
Nina Longstaff, head of marketing and PR for the firm, noted that a higher level of demand for high-end rented property has had a positive impact on the interior design industry.
She said: "Landlords at this end of the market have to work harder to attract the best tenants and interior design is a key element in achieving that.
"At this end of the market having an interior-designed property is an essential rather than a 'nice to have'."
According to Rentright's Residential Rental Price Index (RPPI), the average monthly rent in the UK was £573 in September 2008.
