NEC show proves popular with homeowners

The National Homebuilding and Renovating Show is set to run until Sunday of this week (March 22nd) and has already surprised organisers with the number of people it has attracted.

The event kicked off yesterday in Hall 5 of the Birmingham NEC, with organisers commenting that attendance was positive for a first day.

Attendees to the show had the chance to attend master classes on how to self-build and renovate a home, as well as finding out about the up and coming trends within the home decor market.

Commenting on the attendance, Bonnie McCauley, director of Echotech Recycled Products, said that it had been "very good for a first day".

She added: "I'm delighted with the turnout and I think it's just going to get crazier as we work towards Sunday."

Eco-conscious homeowners may find much of interest at the home show, as this year's event had a strong eco focus.

Property owners who visit the show will also be offered tips on how they can make their home more environmentally-friendly.
