'Encouraging' start for property industry event

The Grand Designs Live London show has started in an encouraging fashion, according to host of the event Kevin McCloud.

Commenting on the opening weekend of the property event, which provides visitors with a plethora of tips for selling, developing and managing properties, the television presenter said that there was a 28 per cent increase on guests compared to last year.

With over a week of the show still to go, consumers will have a number of chances to go and participate in the occasion, which is being held at ExCeL in the nation's capital.

Those considering moving home or anyone looking to renovate their current residence are sure to obtain some guidance on how best to act.

McCloud said: "This year surprisingly, given the economic downturn, has been an extraordinary success for us."

Having started on Saturday April 25th, the show runs until Monday May 4th and will include various presentations for property professionals and general homeowners alike.
