Landlords to receive legal advice

What to do when things go wrong will be the theme of a special session at the forthcoming National Landlords Association (NLA) National Conference.

Landlords who attend the show at the Holiday Inn, Birmingham will be able to head to the event to receive advice on a range of legal matters.

Mary Latham, a portfolio landlord, NLA trainer and regional representative, will be hosting the so-call breakout session.

She has more than three decades of industry experience and has been a member of the NLA for the last 15 years.

Issues that she is scheduled to cover include the repossession process, how to serve notice in the right way and what to do in the event of a tenant abandoning the property.

The NLA states on its website: "When things go wrong it can be a stressful and expensive business, especially if rent arrears are building up or you are dealing with a difficult tenant."
