Royal Borough 'home to most expensive streets'

The top ten most expensive streets in England and Wales include seven in the Royal Borough.

The Royal Borough in London is home to seven of the ten most expensive streets in England and Wales.

This is according to new research from Lloyds TSB, which found properties in Kensington and Chelsea are attracting particularly high valuations.

It was shown that Holland Park is the costliest residential road in Britain, with a typical price of £4,863,000.

Other lanes to make the rundown included Drayton Gardens, Dawson Palace and Duchess of Bedfords Walk.

Suren Thiru, economist at Lloyds TSB, noted: "This part of London has always had a glamorous reputation, attracting buyers from the business and entertainment world and more recently the super-rich from across the world."

Attractions in this part of the county include upmarket shops, renowned schools and close proximity to the business district of London.

The news comes after recent findings from property information website Zoopla showed the number of property millionaires in the UK has increased over the last 12 months.
