Property News - Major new housing scheme for Lincolnshire

Plans for the creation of new homes in north-east Lincolnshire have been submitted to local planners.

A major new housing and mixed-use development has been proposed in north-east Lincolnshire, which offers the possibility of more than 100 new homes for the area in the years ahead.

Split across two sites in Waltham and New Waltham, the Grimsby Telegraph reports North East Lincolnshire Council's Planning Committee will decide the fate of these new developments in the coming days.

The primary development site will be at Cheapside in Waltham and includes provisions for the creation of 95 new properties. Meanwhile, the project also includes details for a further 63 homes on land at Hewitts Avenue in New Waltham.

Recommendations for approval have been given for both schemes, but it remains to be seen whether or not this suggestion will be heeded by local planners.

The applications for the new housing have been submitted by developer Carr & Carr Builders, with the project also including details for the construction of new educational facilities and amenities in support of the development of the local area.
