Why Choose Us?

More often than not selling a property is only part of a more complicated process to achieve other objectives and we believe it is our job to help our clients achieve those aims as far as we are able. Confidentiality is frequently a concern, which we at Smiths totally respect.
The firm’s principal, Gary Smith FNAEA, is a leading member of the local branch of the National Association of Estate Agents and has, in fact, just been elected to the National Executive of the NAEA. Mr. Smith does, however, ensure that he is very involved with the day to day running of Smiths offices, offering support and back up, and is always available to meet clients’ needs as and when required, or if deemed to be appropriate.
The NAEA was established in 1962 to promote high ethical and professional standards for estate agents. Entry to the NAEA is exacting and subject to satisfactory references. In addition, Smiths are also members of the Ombudsman Scheme for Estate Agents, which provides an independent arbitration service for dealing with disputes between member’s agencies and customers buying or selling residential property in the UK. Strict codes of conduct have to be observed by scheme members. There are many vulnerable persons, who need unbiased advice when they are thinking about marketing their property, and who are often understandably cautious when selecting an estate agent; you can be assured that we will always give you our best advice.
Our Policy

Although naturally we advertise weekly in various media property supplements, we are also members of Rightmove, which is the leading Internet property web site in the UK, thus ensuring full and thorough promotion of your property nationwide, indeed worldwide.
Whilst many vendors are happy to carry out the viewings themselves, we will always accompany prospective purchasers if required. We feel that this offers a high degree of reassurance and professionalism, to both vendors and purchasers. You can also rest assured that, unlike many agents, we will follow up all viewings promptly, and give you the much awaited feedback. And, we don’t stop when your house has gone under offer; we will monitor the sale throughout with the relevant parties, giving you regular progress updates.
In summary we CARE about our clients.
