From the outside look at the solid oak window frames and doors, wisteria and clemetis along the re-rendered, lime-washed walls and cutwork fascia. The Patio has a shed, roses, honeysuckle and lily of the valley; lavender and various bulbs as well as an early flowering camellia and lots of other plants.
From the patio there is a bridge over the rhyne to the garden and orchard. The garden is mainly lawn, bordered by mixed hedging and has a Bramley apple tree, pear tree, Laxton Superb apple tree, Victoria plum and several other golden plums that I can’t name, plus several Damsons. There are various beds with shrubs and fruit and herbs in them, some raised, some not. There is also a shed currently used for storing honey equipment and a log store. The boundary between the garden and the doctor’s surgery next door has a stout wooden fence down to the ditch which borders the western edge of the orchard. The orchard has mainly cider apple trees in it, plus a cherry tree and beehives at the moment.
