Located in the heart of the highly sought after village of Keyston, The Dairy is a stunning example of a brick and stone built, Grade II Listed, barn conversion. Boasting a plethora of period features including a striking vaulted ceiling in the lounge as well as a subtle blend of modern contemporary finishes, this beautiful home must be viewed to be fully appreciated.

There are four very well appointed bedrooms which include a fabulous principal suite with full size bathroom and dressing area and a family bathroom on the upper floors. On the ground floor there is a modern country style kitchen, formal dining room and snug/study. There is also garage and a small lawned garden.

The Pheasant pub and restaurant is just a short stroll from the property and is renowned for its fantastic food and warm, friendly atmosphere. There are a host of good local state schools within a few miles as well as the independent Kimbolton school.

Seller Insight

Dating back to the 18th century, this original farm building has been sympathetically modernized to create a truly unique home. "When we first viewed the property many years ago we were bowled over by how beautiful it and the village were. Positioned around a courtyard alongside other conversions, The Diary is joined to the Manor House. In our opinion it's the best position in the village, made extra special by stunning views of the Manor's beautifully kept gardens, the church and open fields. The area is perfect for big country walks, bike rides, or just a gentle stroll to the village pub for a pint. It's nothing short of idyllic. Throughout its modernisation much of the property's originality has been retained with every room giving a flavour of its rich history, such as the milking posts in the kitchen and the ancient, vaulted A frame ceilings. We intended this to be our forever home, but after a lot of soul-searching the sad day has come to downsize."

"The village is very peaceful and although the property sits on Loop Road it is not a through road and it's worth noting that although the A14 isn't far away we don't hear any noise from it. Living here you barely hear anything but the gentle sound of the countryside."

"Ten-minutes away, Huntingdon is the nearest big town – here you will find shops, restaurants and a railway station with a journey time of around an hour to London. The A14 has recently been upgraded, making trips into Cambridge in about 20-minute. Good state and independent schools, including Oundle and Kimbolton, are easy to access. Living here gives the wonderful feeling of being in the heart of the countryside yet not at all cut-off."

"The main sitting room has a real wow factor; it is large, open and light with two fires: a wood burner and a feature fireplace – it's wonderful all year round. The huge French doors give great access to the garden whilst the walls are perfect for projecting movies – it's the ultimate cinema room. It's a wonderful home for entertaining and the flow throughout is great."
